Environmental Impact Assessment

Pasa Millers are involved in the milling and production of the PMK premium coffee brand. With its proposed location in Kiambu, Pasa Millers Kiambu Ltd targets an annual average of 1,800 tons of coffee production. The project is a non-profit oriented mill with any profits realized being shared with the farmers through provision of prioritized farm inputs to farmers and hence improve coffee quality and maximize farmers’ income.

ECOTESCO was contracted to carry out an Environmental Impact Assessment Study for the proposed Pasa Millers Coffee Milling Factory located in a 1.5 acres piece of land in Kiambu Constituency, Kiambu County. The scope of the study involved the comprehensive assessment of the project components’ impacts on the environment including the pre-cleaner, sewer, Weigh Bridge, coffee café among others.
